Huffington Post gives Tips on How We Can Help

There are many ways you can help Hurricane Sandy victims, and we're going to round up as many as we can below.
We're organizing tips below by neighborhood as well as city or region. This is for all affected areas of Hurricane Sandy. Some of these are extremely timely requests and tips.
We'll also round up the latest info you need to know -- for anyone in areas impacted by Sandy.

The ASPCA is preparing to help animals in areas affected by Sandy. Find out how you can support them here.

Partial service for MTA buses will be restored this evening. Full service is expected tomorrow. Subway service has no timeline yet for restoration.
JFK Airport may reopen Wednesday. Laguardia is less likely to open due to serious damage.

The armory in Park Slope, which is serving residents of lower Brooklyn and some parts of Queens, is looking for overnight volunteers. The shifts are 8pm to 12am, 12am to 4am, 4am to 8am. The armory is located at 15th Street and 8th Avenue.
